The relationship between digital game addiction and religiosity in adolescents the case of Gaziantep

n this study, it is aimed to put forward the relationship between digital game addiction levels and religiousness levels of adolescent individuals.Another aim of the study is to reveal the relationship between various variables such as age, gender, school type, grade level and parental coexistence with the level of religiosity and addiction level. This study consists of two parts: conceptual framework and method, findings and evaluation. Within the scope of the study, "Personal Information Form", "Digital Game Addiction Scale for Children" and "Religious Attitude Scale" were applied to 478 middle and high school students studying in Şahinbey District of Gaziantep province and the data were analyzed in SPSS 25.0 program. At the end of the study, a negative and significant correlation was found between adolescents' level of digital game addiction and their level of religiousness. Furthermore, compared to demographic variables and digital game addiction scores, it was observed that the level of digital game addiction significantly differed according to the variables of gender, age, number of childeren, parentsmarriage union status, private room status, family income level, family religious worship level, school type, and parents education grade. The results obtained are largely similar to previous studies.
