Style variations and design details in mens wear

Silhouette and style are the most importent design elements in fashion design. In this rsearch, the evoluation of men's wear silhouettes, in other words overall shape, styling and design details have been searched extensively and style variations and design details in men's wear have been attemted to systematize. In order to achieve this each style variations and design details have been examined in its choronological order. Their starting point, their meanings and their final shapes in today's fashion were also examined in detail. In this research, developments of men's wear have been examined in detail starting from XVI'th cetury, which forms the foundations of today's men's wear fashion. The weel known men's wear items, such as jackets, blazers, trousers, waistcoats, shirts, coats, etc. Have been systematized according their historical developments, overall shape and their design details. All 2D flat illustrations for each item have been made on a computer aided garment design (CAD) system. It was aimed that these overall computer illustrations and design modules should be established systematically in order to form CAD clip arts for the use of fashion designers.
