ABSTRACT The written sources of the Turkish language that can be accessed so far started with Kök Türk Inscriptions. Since the mentioned period, studies on the written sources of our language have also appeared. This study has been prepared to contribute to the field. "Ervâh-nâme" is a name formed by the combination of the word "ervâh", which is the plural of the Arabic word "rûḥ", and the Persian word "nâme". It means Book of Spirits or Writing of Spirits. In the study named Ervâḥ-nâme, on the basis of the copy registered with the number A8266 in the National Library, the copy with the title of "Şefâʿat-nâme" and registered with the number A981 obtained from the National Library, and the copy with the title Ervâḥ-nâme, registered with the name of "Ruḥ-nâme" with the number LD 498 in the Library of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, were studied comparatively. First, the copies were read, indexed, and then the language review was done. All the copies mentioned in the text section have a comparative transcription reading. In the index section, the words and word groups in the text are explained by considering the meanings of the words in the text. It is understood from the couplets in the text that the author of Ervâḥ-nâme is Pìr Muḥyiddin. Although Ervâó-nâme is seen as 16-17 centuries in the records, it has been determined that the language features of Old Anatolian Turkish predominate. Ervâó-nâme is a "mev'ize" type of work written in Mesnevî verse. Since it is a comprehensive work, the variety of topics is quite high. In the work, the lifestyles of the Prophet Muhammad, his ahl al-bayt and his companions and his view of the worldly life, the transience of worldly life, what the soul will encounter after death, the Day of Judgment and the place of Judgment, the depictions of heaven and hell, etc. are discussed from a mystical point of view.
