Abstract (EN)

The concept of organizational commitment has been a subject of great interest in the literature due to the benefits of employee loyalty to the organization and the person. It is of great importance to examine how the commitment of employees to organizations will develop in the world of working relations, which is becoming more and more flexible with each passing day. The aim of this thesis is to examine how the flexible labor market affects the current understanding of organizational commitment. In this direction, in-depth interviews were conducted with 13 teleworkers by adopting the qualitative research method. Face-to-face and online meetings were held with teleworkers through a semi-structured interview form prepared by the researcher. Interviews were analyzed with MAXQDA 2022. The results of the research show that the importance of the concept of organizational commitment has decreased. According to the findings, there is no organization at the center of the commitment of remote workers and organizational commitment in contemporary employment relations is considered as a potential danger that hinders change and innovative perspective. As a result, a negative attitude towards organizational commitment is developing in the flexible labor market. Keywords: organizational commitment, flexible labor market, tele-work
