Abstract (EN)

The most important elements in fish net cage culture systems are the water quality parameters surrounding the cages and environmental carrying capacity. In this study, some water quality parameters of Süreyyabey dam lake were monitored for one year and considering the results obtained, some evaluations have been made on trout cage culture and carrying capacity. The research area is located on the Çekerek stream in the Yozgat Province of the Central Anatolia Region. The aim of this thesis is to determine the carrying capacity of Süreyyabey dam lake for trout cage culture by using phosphorus loading model. The acceptable phosphorus load was between 30 and 60 mg/m3 and the feed conversion rate was between 1.0-2.0 in Süreyyabey dam lake that had an average depth of 31.6 m and a surface area of 41.34 km2. As a result, the amount of trout that can be cultivated in cages calculated as approximately 0 to 13 600 tons/year. However, summer water temperature values limited cage trout culture.
