Event tourism has recently become a strong demand generating factor. It haslarge-scale contributions to the tourism, travel, leisure and lodging industry. However itis very important tool for reach to social, economical, environmental objectives forcommunity and destination and for provides benefits. The aim of this study is tomeasure direct, indirect and induced economic effects of visitors expenditures for themost important sport events such as Formula One. The importance of this studyemerges from the determination of visitor expenditures during an event. In this study,first of all, a questionnaire survey designed to determine the amount of visitorexpenditures and visitor profiles. At the same time, total and direct backward-forwardlinkages coefficient, production and employment multiplier coefficient of tourism weremeasured depending on the TÜ K?s INPUT-OUTPUT table and calculated productionand employment effects of increasing final demand in tourism to sectors of agriculture,trade, banking, construction and services with 2005 stanbul Grand Prix.Keywords: Event Tourism, Economic Impacts, Input-Output Analysis, 2005 IstanbulGrand Prix, Turkey.
