Abstract (EN)

poultry houses are of great importance. However, calculations made with regional and climatic preconceptions give limited results. With modern technology, broiler houses have become structures isolated from external effects and their capacities have increased. Calculations based on the long-term average hourly climate data of the province where production will be made give more precise results and increase efficiency. In this study, a software called Broiler Chicken House Air Conditioning (EPİK) has been developed, which can calculate heat power requirements for all hours of production in the houses in a year based on hourly climate data, simulate combinations based on different dates, various fuel types, fans, insulation materials and capacity changes, and offer suitable material and air conditioning alternatives before installation, provide detailed analyses for every hour of the year regarding production and energy costs, provide data for scientific research, determine the most suitable conditions before and after business installation, and guide broiler chicken producers, poultry house project developers, academicians and researchers. According to the findings obtained with the software, the heating requirement was determined only in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd production periods throughout the year for a poultry house that started production in January for Adana province. In these three periods, the total heat load losses due to reasons such as transmission, ventilation and cooling were ∑▒〖Q_L=713.034 kWh〖 a〗^(-1) 〗, while the total sensible heat load given to the environment by broilers was ∑▒〖Q_h=710.068 kWh〖 a〗^(-1) 〗, the heat load gained from the building by transmission in the 2nd production period was ∑▒〖Q_(T+)=74 kWh〖 a〗^(-1) 〗 and the heat need that could not be met by broilers for the necessary thermal balance was met by mechanical heating was ∑▒Q_mı 2.966 (kWh〖 a〗^(-1) ). In this context, in the calculations made for the coldest hour of the year according to the different production start dates simulated by the software, it was determined that starting production on different dates affected the energy needs throughout the year.
