Abstract (EN)

The phytochemical analysis of Origanum vulgare was carried out. The quantitative contents of phenolic compounds, flavonoids, tannin, sterols, glycosides, and alkaloids in herb were 0.517±0.022, 0.332±0.034, 0.947±0.013, 326. 561±2.456, 18.780±1.564 mg/100 g respectively. The alkaloids were determined as 3.84% in the herb. The HPLC analysis revealed that Origanum vulgare contains many types of flavonoids (118.189 µg/g of Hesperdin, 489.383 µg/g of Rosmarinic, 525.382 µg/g of Rutin, 128.816 µg/g of Quercitrin, 26.237 µg/g of Quercitin, 18.707 µg/g of Kaempferol, 39.483 µg/g of Luteolin and 95.087 µg/g of Apigenin). In the study also indicates some types of flavonoid glycoside in the crude herb by HPLC. However, includes the isolation of flavonoids and flavonoids glycosides from Origanum vulgare, identifying the main components of flavonoids and flavonoids glycosides in the isolated extract by HPLC, and studying the protective role of crude herb, and its isolated extracts against poisoning renal and hepatic gentamicin-induced in rabbits.
