Abstract (EN)

Myocardial infarction (MI) is a term used for an event of heart attack which is due to formation of plaques in the interior walls of the arteries resulting in reduced blood flow to the heart and injuring heart muscles because of lack of oxygen supply. Objective:To Evaluate levels of Endothelin-1 ,Atrial natriuretic peptide,Vascular endothelial growth factor with some biochemical markers in patients of acute mayocardial infarction. In this study results showed the age group (61-70) years demonstrated a high percentage 36.67 % compared with other age group (> 70 ) years (33.33 %), while the least affected patients were in 40-50 years (8.33). Also the current study demonstrated highest rate patients were in urban 44 from the total patients 60, (73.33%) while in rural 16 (26.67%), as well as the result showed high rate from patients were male 42(70%) while the remaining 18(30%) were females. The level of endothelin-1 a highest among patients (11.46 ± 7.85 pg/ml), compared with control group (6.08 ± 0.7216 pg/ml), and tle level of atrial natriuretic peptide (26.62 ± 3.101pg/ml), compared with control group were (20.74 ± 1.617ng/ml), while VEGF in patients were (98.71 ± 33.54 pg/ml) and control group (53.30 ± 9.16 pg/ml) p-value, all these of the results were significant, p value (0.001). The study concluded that increase the levels of Endothelin-1, Atrial natriuretic peptide and Vascular endothelial growth factor. In present study showed that the levels of cardiac enzymes like troponin highly elevated in acute myocardial infarction patients were (4.454 ± 9.907 ng/ml) compared with control group (0.004957 ± 0.00448 ng/ml) P value < 0.001, the result was significant, and levels of myoglobin also highly elevated in AMI patients were (373.5 ± 279.23 ng/ml) compared with ii control group (15.23 ± 4.446 ng/ml) P value < 0.001, other cardiac enzyme creatine kinase levels elevated in AMI patients (7.662 ± 8.213 ng/ml ) compared with control group (1.072 ± 0.7191 ng/ml) and P value < 0.001. Our data shows that blood glucose was significant higher ( 188.8 ± 97.43 mg/dl), compared with control group ( 96.4 ± 9.02 mg/dl )with significant difference, (P value < 0.05), and level of blood urea in the patients were (41.8 ± 19.6 mg/dl) , compared with control group (24.9 ± 5.01 mg/dl), while levels of creatinine in patients were (0.94 ± 0.38 mg/dl) compared with control (0.75 ± 0.38 mg/dl).
