Abstract (EN)
Introduction: Many obstacles and problems arise in front of married individuals throughout life. How they respond to these problems is one of the factors that determine the harmony between people and a happy marriage. However, the attachment styles determined by the individuals are also guiding the ways adopted in solving these problems. Attachment styles adopted by individuals in adulthood are basically addressed in four basic dimensions. These; secure attachment, anxious-ambivalent attachment, insecure attachment, and avoidant attachment. These coping behaviors are also related to the emotional expression styles of married individuals. Expression of emotion is conveying emotional experience through observable verbal or nonverbal behavior. Pearson Correlation analysis was performed to examine the relationships between the variables. In order to examine the effects of independent variables on dependent variables, Multiple Linear Regression Analyzes were performed. The cut-off value for the level of significance in the analyzes was evaluated as .05. Results: On active coping, other-oriented expression of happiness (β=0.120; p<0.05), verbal expression of anger (β=0.322; p<0.01), secure attachment (β=0.211; p<0, 01) and dismissive attachment (β=0.245; p<0.01) had positive effects, whereas preoccupied attachment (β=-0.172; p<0.01) had negative and significant effects.
