Personality traits are the concepts that lead to their marriage and life of individuals affected during the marriage life. In this study, the relationship between family concept, personality concept and marital adjustment and satisfaction of these concepts has been explained by literature search method. This study aims to reveal the relationship of personality traits with marital adjustment and marital satisfaction in married individuals. In the study, marital adjustment of individuals was determined using the Marital Adjustment Scale developed by Locke and Wallace (1959). The marital satisfactions of the individuals were determined using the Marital Satisfaction Scale prepared by Çelik and Yazgan-İnanç (2009). On the other hand, marital adjustment has a significant positive correlation with empirical clarity and softness. When the relationships between marital satisfaction and five factor personality traits are examined; there was a significant negative correlation between marital satisfaction and neuroticism. On the other hand, marriage satisfaction has a significant positive correlation with softness. Key words: Personality traits, marital adjustment, marital satisfaction
