Özet (EN)

This study aimed to determine the predictive effect of attachment styles and marital satisfaction on the social and loneliness levels of married individuals. In addition, another aim of the research is to examine whether the level of social and emotional loneliness differs statistically significantly according to some demographic variables. A total of 467 married individuals between the ages of 21 and 60 participated in the research. The research group consists of 356 (76.2%) female and 111 (23.8%) male participants. To collect data for statistical analysis in the research; personal information form, SELSA-S (Social and Emotional Loneliness Scale), Married Life Scale and Attachment Styles in Interpersonal Relationships Scale were used. Cronbach Alpha reliability analysis was applied for the scales used in general and for their sub-dimensions. Relationships between measurement scores suitable for normal distribution were evaluated with the pairwise correlation test. The predictive effect of the variables was evaluated by regression analysis. Normally distributed measurement scores were analyzed with independent samples t-test and ANOVA test. Analyzes were made using the IBM SPSS package program. According to the findings of the research, it was found that an important dimension of emotional loneliness of married individuals was significantly explained by the variables of marital satisfaction, secure attachment and anxious attachment. In terms of demographic variables, it is seen that the level of social and emotional loneliness differs significantly according to the type of marriage and the presence of premarital dating.
