Özet (EN)

This thesis is dedicated to a comprehensive investigation of the efficiency of the High Granularity Calorimeter (HGCAL) by means of an in-depth analysis of the characteristic behaviors exhibited by light quark jets. To accomplish this, a rigorous examination of simulated data is undertaken, offering valuable insights into the performance of the HGCAL. Furthermore, in this study data taken from proton-proton collisions at the energy of √s=14 TeV in the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has been used. The integration of detector response and the meticulous dissection of energy profiles from these simulated collision events play a pivotal role in the evaluation and validation of the HGCAL's efficiency in a real-world context. Through this multifaceted approach, a comprehensive understanding of the HGCAL's capabilities and limitations is elucidated, contributing significantly to the advancements in particle physics and detector technology. Keywords: Light quark jets, HGCAL, LHC, CMS.
