Abstract (EN)

The study aims to explore the impact of boreout on employee engagement and the moderating function of pay satisfaction in the hotel industry. Convenience sampling was used to obtain data from 385 employees in Antalya's five and four-star hotels. The data was analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach, with standardized measures used to assess boreout, work engagement, and pay satisfaction in tourism sector. The study findings revealed that an obvious negative association between boreout and employee engagement. Furthermore, it was shown that pay satisfaction had a favorable impact on employee engagement. Surprisingly, the moderating influence of pay satisfaction was found to be missing in the analyzed relationships. In other words, while pay satisfaction positively influenced employee engagement, it did not play a moderating role in the negative relationship between boreout and employee engagement. These complex findings highlight the need for a more complete investigation of the delicate interactions between boreout, pay satisfaction, and employee engagement in the context of the hospitality business. This method gives a thorough knowledge of the links between boreout, employee engagement, and pay satisfaction in the specific setting of the hotel business, providing insights for both academic and practical human resource managements.
