Özet (EN)

The discussion on attributes of Allah started in the very early days of Islamic world. Muslim conquest of Syria, Iraq, Iran and North Africa forced muslims to live with people from many foreign religions and cultures. Particularly Christian and Jew scholars placed their internal problems into Islam to undermine the pillars of faith in Islam and make Muslims distrust their religion. Thus, the topics like holy attributes of Allah and the creation of Quran which had not been discussed in the Sahaba Period started to be discussed among Muslims. It was Jahmiah and Mutazilah sects among Muslims who first denied the divine attributes under the influence of Christians. Later, İslamic philosophers supported their idea as well. Fahreddin Razî Kelam is an important Islamic scholar who produced works on philosophy, tafsir and many other areas as well. In his works on Kalam, he combines philosophy and Kalam. He tried to prove the existence and unity of Allah and his attributes, which are the main topics of Kalam, with many logical evidences as well as textual evidences. Razî, in his own unique way, put forth the existence and unity of Allah against poeple from foreign religions and cultures and the existence of attributes of Allah against Mutezilah and Islamic philosophers with different kinds of evidences.
