Abstract (EN)

Analysis of ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) performance requires reliable and repeatable recordings of brake pressure data. On road tests, it is very difficult to obtain repeatable test conditions. In the investigation of brake system variables for vehicles with differing brake systems, test procedures require some parameters to be kept constant. In particular, testing of ABS control strategies require the use of different road surfaces and µ-split conditions. In this study a laboratory test system is developed and prototyped. The test system allows brake tests to be carried out under various realistic and repeatable road and vehicle dynamic conditions. Three vehicles with different ABS are tested and their, ABS performances are evaluated using the data from the developed test system.
