Comparison of self-efficacy perceptions of physical education teachers with different branch teachers

Özet (EN)

The aim of this study was to compare the self-efficacy perception of physical education teachers with different branch teachers. The research group consisted of 240 (123 female, 117 male) teachers teaching in the schools of Adıyaman Provincial Directorate of National Education. Research data obtained by Köse (2007), Teacher Self-Efficacy Perception Scale en, which can be applied to teachers and teacher candidates adapted to Turkish culture, was used. While the internal consistency coefficient calculated for the whole scale was .94, the internal consistency coefficients calculated for the sub-dimensions were .82 for the "Student Motivation" dimension, .86 for the Teaching Strategies 94 dimension and .88 for the Class Management dimension. SPSS 22.0 program was used in the analysis of research data. Statistical methods t test and OneWay ANOVA test were used as statistical methods. As a result of the research, it was determined that physical education teachers have a more positive perception in other sub-teachers of classroom management sub-dimension. In addition, it was concluded that the self-efficacy perceptions of the teachers who exercise regularly were more positive. KeyWords: Teacher, Physical Education, Self-efficacy
