Analysis of antropometric measurements and leaping ability of 9-12 years old girl gymnast from different major

The aim of this study is to analyse antropometric measurements and leaping ability of gymnasts and to put forth the differences between majors.In this study, anthropometric and leaping measurements of 30 gymnasts (10 rhytmic gymnasts, 10 artistic gymnasts, 10 aerobic gymnasts) are taken. Antropometric measures are stature, mass, sitting height, leg height, fat mass and body mass index.Leaping measurements are performed by ergojump. 7 leaping measures which of 3 are not gymnastic spesific, namely squat, countermovement, repeated jump and which of 4 are technical namely, vertical, cossack, split, straddle are taken.For every parameter measured, mean values and standard deviations are calculated and similarities and differences between different majors of gymnastics are put forth.The analyse part of the study is comprised of 3 parts. In the first part, the difference between majors in terms of antropometric measurements, in terms of leaping heights and in terms of contact time and power are analysed by using one way anova. For parameters where differences between groups are determined, Tukey test is performed in order to detect the group creating the difference. In the second part, correlation analyse is performed in order to analyse the relation between antropometric measurements and leaping height and flying time. In the third part, the leaping heights of technical leaps and judges? evaluations are analysed by two way anova.For every measure that is taken, mean values and standard deviations are calculated and similarities and differences between majors are put forth.In the view of the information obtained from the study, it is seen that there is significant difference between majors in terms of antropometric measures. There is no significant difference between majors in terms of non technical leap heights while there is significant difference in terms of technical leap heights. As a result it is concluded that antropometric measures and leaping ability show difference between majors.
