The effect of aloe vera treatment on fruit quality and storage of red globe grape variety in different periods

In this study carried out in 2022, Red Globe grape variety, one of the table grape varieties grown in Tokat ecology, was used. The effect of aloe vera treatments on fruit quality and preservation was examined in different periods (pre-harvest, post-harvest, pre-harvest + post-harvest) in Red Globe grape variety. With these treatments, physical, chemical and phytochemical changes that occur during storage were investigated. The highest weight loss rate was obtained at the 150th day with preharvest + postharvest application. While the differences between the treatments were not statistically significant in terms of decay, the highest value in terms of day averages was observed on the 150th day. In terms of color a* value, the differences in terms of both applications and days were found to be statistically significant; In applications, the control application came to the forefront in terms of storage period, 30th day. The highest SÇKM value was obtained on the 150th day in terms of pre-harvest + post-harvest applications in terms of days. Although the differences between storage times in terms of pH properties were statistically significant, the highest pH value was observed on the 150th day. Considering the effect of aloe vera applications on TA values of grapes during storage, there was no statistically significant difference between applications and storage times. The highest values in terms of total phenolic compound and total antioxidant capacity were reached in pre-harvest + post-harvest applications in terms of applications, and on the 150th day in terms of days. Considering the anthocyanin values, the 150th day came to the fore in terms of the end-of-harvest application days in terms of applications.
