Influence of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers rates on yield and yield parameters of 2. crop sesame grown in Çukurova Region

Although nutritional value and fertilization of sesame in Çukurova Region is very important in terms of yield and quality, its appropriate fertilization program has not been established yet. For this reason, nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) fertilizer doses were applied in field conditions, and their effects on yield and quality were determined. This study was carried out on the second crop sesame grown in Çukurova region. Nitrogen doses were used as main parcel and phosphorus doses as sub-parcel and 16 parcels in each block, 4 lines in each parcel, 5 m in each parcel length, 70 cm distance between rows and 20 cm above row spacing. The parcel size is 5x2.8 m and a total of 64 parcels and 100 plants werw kept in each parcel. Nitrogen and phosphorus doses were applied as 0, 5, 10 and 15 kg / da. Urea and Triple Super Phosphate (TSP) fertilizers were used as nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer sources. The highest average plant height was from N15, P15 and N15, P0 doses (180.66 cm), the highest average number of capsules per plant was from the doses of N15 P15 (148 number / plant), the average number of side branches per plant was from the highest N15, P10 doses (4.33 number / plant); decare), highest oil content of N10, P15 doses (%53), average oil yield per decare highest N10, P15 doses (46.75 kg/da) and protein content (%) highest N10, P10 doses (%17.48) obtained It was. The highest average oleic acid content of fatty acids was obtained from N5, P5 doses (%40.46). It is desirable that oleic acid content is high and linoleic acid content is low in oil crops. The lowest amount of linoleic acid was obtained from N10, P5 doses (%42.86). The highest average amount of stearic acid was obtained from N15, P10 doses and the highest amount of palmitic acid was obtained from N0, P5 doses (%9.96). Thus, the doses of N10 and P15 could be recommended for sesame production in this region.
