Abstract (EN)

In this study, simulations of a photovoltaic system installed in Antalya were performed using PVsyst and SAM software. Simulation data was compared with actual electricity production data using statistical analysis methods such as % error, RMSD, and MAD. Based on all these analysis methods, it was determined that SAM software had a low annual error rate of 0.60%. Thus, simulations of 1 MW photovoltaic systems were carried out using SAM software in all districts of Antalya, in suitable areas based on logistic criteria. A total of 95 simulations were performed using different panel technologies, including monocrystalline, polycrystalline, monocrystalline bifacial, polycrystalline bifacial, and cadmium telluride. The electricity production data obtained from these simulations were evaluated technically and economically. As a result, in terms of total losses, cadmium telluride panel technology had higher losses, while polycrystalline bifacial panel technology generally had the lowest losses. In terms of electricity production, polycrystalline bifacial panel technology gave the highest results in all districts. The highest annual electricity production value was found to be 1.66 GWh in the Manavgat district using polycrystalline bifacial panel technology, while the lowest electricity production value was 1.41 GWh in the Alanya district using polycrystalline panel technology. Economic analysis was also conducted to determine the payback period and net income values for each technology in each district over a thirty-year period.
