Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to determine seed yield and quality characteristics of some black cumin (Nigella sativa L.) genotypes in Siirt ecological conditions. The research was conducted during 2020-2021 growing seasons in Siirt University, Agricultural Faculty, Research and Application Land. Çameli cultivar and 9 different black cumin (Nigella sativa L.) genotypes were used in the study. In the research field experiment was established as randomized complete block experimental design with four replicates. The study was investigated agricultural properties such as emergence time, % 50 flowering period, vegetation period, plant height, branch number, number of capsule per plant, number of seed per capsule, seed yield per plant, biological yield, seed yield, harvest index, thousand seed weight, fatty oil ratio, fatty oil yield. In terms of emergence time, % 50 flowering period, vegetation period, plant height, number of capsule per plant, number of seed per capsule, seed yield per plant, biological yield, seed yield, harvest index, thousand seed weight and fatty oil yield examined in the research, significant differences were statistically determined p<0.01 among the genotypes. In terms of branch number and fatty oil ratio examined in the research, statistically significant differences were determined p<0.05 among the genotypes. According to the result emergence time, 50% flowering period, vegetation period, plant height, branch number, number of capsule per plant, number of seed per capsule, seed yield per plant, biological yield, seed yield, harvest index, thousand seed weight, fatty oil ratio, fatty oil yield were changed between 32.8-37.5 day, 149.5-158.0 day, 200.8-205.0 day, 39.93-54.00 cm, 3.10-5.78 number, 6.10-10.63 number/plant, 84.40-114.80 number/capsule, 0.74-1.65 seed yield/plant, 2805.2-4458.5 kg/ha, 666.6-999.3 kg/ha, 15.04-32.09%, 2.32-2.85 g, 19.71-28.44%, 149.3-256.6 kg/ha respectively. According to the one year results obtained from the research; It was concluded that Mardin and Kütahya genotypes should be used for the production of seed in black cumin cultivation as a winter intermediate product in Siirt province climate and soil conditions.
