Abstract (EN)
The aim of the study was to determine the carbon sequestration potential and carbon sequestration mechanisms in the soils by applying different nitrogen doses to citrus seedlings inoculated with different mycorrhiza species. In the first stage, the effects of mycorrhizal spores on the development of citrus seedlings were examined, and in the second stage, Cl. etunicatum mycorrhiza species and the effects of indigenous mycorrhizal spores isolated from Menekşe and Menzilat soil series on plant growth and nutrient uptake of citrus seeds, as well as organic carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) concentrations and carbon binding potentials were evaluated in rhizosphere soils. According to the research findings, while carbon sequestration was inversely proportional to soil organic carbon in citrus seedlings grown in Menekşe series soils, carbon sequestration was directly proportional to soil organic carbon in Menzilat series seedlings.
