Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out in order to determine the most suitable silage corn varieties that can be grown in the region by examining the green forage and dry matter yield of 10 silage corn varieties (LG-31677, KWS-5581, AGROMAR-1403, AGROMAR DS-0224, KWS COLOSSEUS, AGROMAR ARAMİS, LG-31642, AGROMAR COLONİA, KWS-OLİMPİON, KWS-KALUMET) in the ecological conditions of Soma district of Manisa province. The research was carried out in a randomized block design with four replications. In the study, plant height (cm), number of leaf , stem diameter, leaf lenght, leaf widht, green forage yield, dry matter ratio, dry matter yield, leaf ratio, stem ratio, ear ratio, and protein ratio, protein yield characteristics of all cultivars were investigated. As a result of the research, the variety with the highest green forage yield was obtained from "KWS Olimpıon" variety with 9989,90 kg/da. the lowest green forage yield"Agromar DS-0224" with 7895,19 kg/da. Dry matter yields of silage corn varieties varied between 2459,26-3187,25 kg/da. As a result, KWS-OLİMPION variety is suggested for the highest green forage yield and quality criteria under second crop ecolocigal conditions in Manisa. Keywords: Maize, Herbage yield, Dry matter yield.
