Özet (EN)

The aim of this study is to search for alternative methods and contribute to the literature to improve aerobic and anaerobic performance in a short time, which is among the primary goals of football coaches and conditioners and which needs a long time to develop. In this direction, actively playing football in different football clubs in Antalya province; who trains regularly 5 days a week in the summer season; 22 male football players between the ages of 18-22 participated. The football players included in the study were randomly divided into two groups. The football players who were divided into groups were not informed about which training protocol they were involved in, and a one-sided blinding method was applied. While 11 of these football players performed high-intensity interval training with the Gibala protocol, the other 11 footballers performed high-intensity interval training according to the Tabata protocol. Participants' flexibility, vertical jump, agility, 30 m. Sprint, aerobic endurance, and anaerobic endurance measurements were carried out as a pre-test and post-test at 6-week intervals. The SPSS 22.0 package program was used to control the normality distribution of the study, in-group and inter-group comparisons, the effsize package of the R programming language was used to determine the effect sizes of the research outputs, and the Excel 16.0 (Microsoft Company) package program was used to create the effect size forest plot. In all analyzes applied, statistical significance level was accepted as p<0.05 and analyzes were performed with 95% confidence interval. As a result, flexibility, agility, vertical jump, 30 m. Statistically significant improvements were observed in both groups in peak power parameters, which are markers of sprint, aerobic endurance and anaerobic endurance. In the mean power parameter, statistically significant improvements were observed only in the Gibala training group. In comparisons between groups, all performance parameters are similar. There is no statistically significant difference. It can be said that Tabata and Gibala high-intensity interval training programs can be effective in improving the physical and physiological parameters of football players in a short time.
