Abstract (EN)
This research was carried out to determinate antioxidant activities of extracts of Echinacea purpurea L. (Moench) plant parts obtained from different harvest time during September 2014 and August 2015 at the Bozok University, Agricultural Faculty Research Laboratories. In this study; the three different harvest time (July 24, August 6 and 19 August) for the corollas, central cones and leaves one harvest time (October 10) for the root was applied. Antioxidant activity of Echinacea purpurea species have varied according to the time of harvest and its organs. The highest total phenolic content (59.107 mg GAE/g extract) and the total content of flavonoid compounds (1807.286 mg QE/g extract) and the lowest DPPH value (1.157 mg/mL) was obtained from respectively the corolla from the first harvest time, the leaves from the second harvest time, and the corolla from the second harvest time.
