Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to analyze the being haram or halal of music in the context of hearing(semâ), whirling dance(devrân), dance(raks), singing(tegannî), dhikr(zikir), music(lahn) written by different individuals in different times during the Ottoman period, and by examining some of the pamphlets in which they express which evidence they show in order to support their views. In this context, Ottoman Turkish and Arabic pamphlets written by two different persons were translated and analyzed, and the evidences they based on were analyzed and classified. This study consists of four parts. In the introduction part, general information about the semâ and pamphlets about semâ is given. In the first part, the biographies of the authors of the examined pamphlets and the pamphlets that are the subject to study were introduced. In the second chapter, the pamphlets that are subject to study have been translated into Turkish. In the third chapter, the evidences such as verses, hadiths, views and works of regarding scholars are analyzed and classified by examining the texts.
