Abstract (EN)
Major structural and functional changes occur on the distal nerve as a result of peripheral nerve injury. The effects of various factors were investigated as a wide range of peripheral nerve regeneration. On regeneration, the primary roles of Schwann cells were explained, as well as neuroprotective agents, neurotrophines, neurokines, administered exogenously, and some of the beneficial effects of growth factors.Purpose of presented study, evaluation the neurogenesis stimulation of resveratrol and oxytocin in rats submitted facial nerve injury and utilization the potential positive neuroprotective effects in patients with nerve injury. Facial nerve injury will be a common and serious public health problem in the near future. As a result of our study, the potential neuroprotective agents (oxytocin, resveratrol) can be used in the treatment. Thus, additional information will be attained to the literature for the recovery of facial nevre injury. As a result, useage of the agent or (mechanisms that share the same goal) derivatives as a therapeutic agent, open to discussion. In our study, we purpose to show the potential neuroprotective effects of these agents that frequently used in a variety of etiopathogenetic diseases in clinical applications, and offer as an alternative treatment option. In our study, oxytocin and resveratrol intraperitoneally administered compared with systemic steroid therapy in 28 days, after facial nerve injury. We evaluated the regeneration with facial EMG as electrophysiological method and assessed the injury on nerve tissue and the status of recovery as histological methods.
