The evolution of public education technologies and improvement recommendations for the future from fati̇h to EBA: The importance of interactive e-content in education

Many innovations and the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in education have increased with the rise of technology in the 21st century. Today, thanks to information and communication technologies, it has become easier to access information than in the past. With the Covid-19 pandemic, distance education has been started in many parts of the world, including Turkey. The education process has been moved to the distance education process. The first distance education in Turkey was started in 1956 by Ankara University Bank Commercial Law Research Institute. Turkey started distance education with the Fatih Project, the EBA platform for primary, secondary and high school students during the Covid-19 epidemic. In universities, this process is similar to the university's own educational platforms and Zoom, Microsoft Teams. supported by applications. In this study, it is aimed to examine educational technologies in the public sector from Fatih to EBA, to take the opinions of students and teachers, to understand the importance of using e-content, to understand the effects of innovative technology on the existing EBA platform and to offer solutions. Mixed methods were used in the research. Since it is qualitative categorical data, Chi-square test was applied and enriched with descriptive analysis. Finally, using the collected data, contextual inferences were made for the SWOT analysis. According to the findings obtained from the survey results, students rather than teachers use the EBA platform more actively in the distance education process. EBA registration processes do not have any problems in student-teacher communication in both groups. In accordance with the purpose of the study, it has been determined that EBA is an effective platform in the distance education process and the use of e-content in education is important for both teachers and students.
