Child reality in Fazıl Hüsnü Dağlarca's children's poems

In this study, the poetry books written by Fazıl Hüsnü Dağlarca for children are discussed. In Fazıl Hüsnü Dağlarca's children's poetry books examined, it is aimed to determine the examples of children's reality, which is one of the basic principles of children's literature. In the introduction part, the purpose, importance, limitations, similar studies, and method of the study are given. The method of the study was determined as document analysis, which is one of the qualitative research designs. In line with the document review, Fazıl Hüsnü Dağlarca's sixteen children's poetry books, which were taken as a sample, were analysed with descriptive analysis. The study consists of two parts. In the first chapter, in the context of the theoretical framework, children and childhood, children's literature, children's poetry, Fazıl Hüsnü Dağlarca's view of children's poetry, reality, and child reality; In the second part, the findings on child reality determined in the poem are included. In the findings, part of the study, examples of child reality, which were determined in sixteen poetry books written by Fazıl Hüsnü Dağlarca for children, were explained by classifying the elements that reveal reality. The examples of child reality in Dağlarca's sixteen children's poetry books are, respectively, "Examples of Child Reality Based on Inquiry", "Examples of Reasoning-Based Child Reality", "Examples of Child Reality Based on a Strong Faith", "Examples of Child Reality Based on Similarity Interest" and "Examples of Child Reality Based on Limited Knowledge".
