Özet (EN)

The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical, functional and radiological results of retrograde intrameullary femur nail surgery with the diagnosis of supracondylar femoral fracture in our clinic. Thirty patients who were treated with retrograde intramedullary nails (RİC) for the femoral supracondylar fracture between January 2015 and September 2018 were included in the study in Fırat University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology. The mean follow-up period was 7.5 months. Clinical, functional and radiological findings of the patients were analyzed retrospectively. The demographic data of the patients in our study, length of stay in hospital, time until operation, additional trauma, complication rates, type of trauma, HSS and NEER scoring criteria for functional assessment and AO class were used in determination of fracture types. Of 30 patients, 18 were male and 12 were female. The youngest patients were 24 years old and the oldest was 88 years old and the mean age of the patients was 45.7 years. We evaluated the ages of the patients by dividing them into 3 groups as young middle and advanced age While 60% of the patients had high energy trauma as a etiological cause, it was seen that 40% of the patients had low energy trauma. 18 (60%) patients were secondary to high-energy trauma, 8 (26.7%) were traffic accidents, 3 (10%) were ASY, 4 (13.3%) were falling from height, 3 (%) 10) work accident. According to AO classification 30 patients, 17 (56.7%) had type A1, 7 (23.3%) had typeA2, 6 (20%) had typeA3 fracture. 4 of the patients had open fractures, 26 of them were closed. The patients were evaluated according to HSS and NEER evaluation system. According to the HSS scoring system, 8 (26.7%) excellent, 9 (30%) good, 12 (40%) medium, and 1 (3%) poor result was obtained. According to the NEER scoring system, 7 (23.3%) were excellent, 10 (33.3%) were good and 13 (43.4%) as the middle result. The statistical analysis of the data studied by a biostatistician, who was out the writer team, with SPSS for Windows 21.0 in analysis of the data. Spearman rank corelation coefficient, x-square test (Crosstabs Chi-Square) was used. p<0, 005 p values was accepted as significant. As a result of the study; retrograde intramedullary nail application in supracondylar femoral fractures, low bleeding amount, allowing rapid mobilization, good boiling because of the failure of the fracture hematoma, and good postoperative results, it was concluded that RİÇ should be selected in appropriate cases.
