Abstract (EN)

Studies in the field of science education which reveal the developments in the field is important in determining the subject of study. It is thought toguidenewre searchers on nededwork. It presents the summary results of many years with analyzes in the form of literatures canning within context. The aim of the study is to determine the master's and doctoral theses made in the field of science education between the years 2015-2021 and to determine the distribution and changes of these theses under certain categories according to their disciplines, research group, thesis years, thesis type and methods. This study compiled with using the general screening model which is one of the screening model types. The universe of the study is among the theses made in our country: Science Education Department (82.75 %), Science Education Department (16.03 %), Science and Technologies Department (0.08 %) and Primary Education Department (1,14 %) consists of master's and doctoral theses in the field of science education. The sample consists of 1316 theses published in the field of science education between 2015-2021 in the national thesis center of YÖK, Out of a total of 1716 theses made in our country in science education within the scope of the mentioned disciplines. 1128 of these theses are master's and 188 are doctoral theses. In the study; The theses made in the field of science education carried out from 2015 to 2021 on the official website of the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education were determined and examined by considering the keywords shown. The data obtained from the study; was carried out according to the categorical content analysis technique, which is one of the qualitative research types. According to the findings of the study, the Department of Science Education (1089 units) was the most studied area within the scope of the branches of science. Considering the findings for the sample group, students (56.84%) have the highest rate. In the distribution of theses by years, 2019 was the year in which the most theses were included with 36.85%. In addition to these, although there is an increase in the mixed method according to the method type of the studies, it was concluded that the most quantitative method (45.36%) was studied. In general, according to the qualitative and quantitative findings of the study, it has been stated that there has been an increase in thesis studies since 2015 and this increase varies according to the categories.
