Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the studies on acids and bases in science education in Turkey between 2000-2024 by content analysis method. As a result of the search from YÖK National Thesis Center, Google Scholar, ULAKBIM official web pages, 44 studies that meet the research criteria were reached. Of these, 20 are master's theses, 8 are doctoral dissertations and 16 are articles. No study conducted outside of science education was included in the scope of the research. After the review, thesis and article studies were given codes and transferred to the Excel program in line with the predetermined criteria. The doctoral, master's theses and articles within the scope of the research were analyzed according to their purpose, year of publication, type (descriptive, review, experimental...), research period, method (qualitative, quantitative, mixed), sample group (teacher candidate, student, teacher... ), sample size, data collection tools (t-test, scale, questionnaire...), data analysis method (ANOVA, parametric tests, Excel...), and data analysis method (ANOVA, parametric tests, Excel...) by using descriptive content analysis method. The theses and articles in the studies were given codes and the data generated as a result of coding were transferred to an Excel program. Frequencies and percentages of the data were calculated and graphs and tables were created. It was analyzed in line with the sub-problems. As a result of the research, the highest number of studies were conducted in 2011 and 2018, there has been an increase in the number of studies conducted in the last 15 years, the highest number of quasi-experimental studies were conducted, it was concluded that the researchers conducted short-term research, while the most studied sample group was 8th grade students: While the most studied sample group was 8th grade students, no study was conducted on 4th grade pre-service science teachers, it was determined that the most preferred sample size was small study groups, it was observed that the most preferred data collection tools were tests and scales, the most used analysis method was the independent sample t-test.
