Özet (EN)

The use of stories that everyone loves to listen to or tell in the field of education has not only made students more willing to attend the lesson, but has also brought about their permanent learning. With the developing technology, the need to carry it to the digital platform has arisen and thus the digital story has entered our lives. The aim of the research is to show the trend of digital story and written story studies used in science education in Turkey, and to detail their similarities and differences according to sub-problems within the framework of the themes created. In the research, a qualitative research model was chosen and the meta-synthesis method was used. In order to collect the data, databases such as ERIC, Google Scholar, EBSCO, Dergipark, Ulakbilim, Research Gate, National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education (YÖKTEZ) were searched. A total of 49 studies were examined and these studies were grouped under six themes. Eleven sub-problems of each theme were tried to be answered. The reliability of the study was ensured by using the "Miles and Huberman" reliability formula and the validity was obtained by taking the "Expert Opinion". While the number of studies on digital stories has increased in recent years, it has been among the findings that written story studies are always used in lessons. It was noteworthy that studies were carried out with middle class students as a research group. Since this research shows the current trend in digital story and written story in Turkey, it is thought that it will be a guide for future studies.
