Abstract (EN)

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.), which is from the Lamiaceae family, is an aromatic and important medicinal plant. Rosemary is used in the food industry, cosmetics and folk medicine. In this study, Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) plant was collected from Diyarbakır province at different periods (before flowering, after flowering and during flowering). After the collected plants were dried, their essential oils were obtained by the Clevenger method. The essential oils were analyzed using an GC-MS instrument. According to the results of the analysis, 22 components were determined in the vegetative and flowering period and 14 components in the post-flowering period. The main components of essential oils belonging to these periods were generally found as camphor, alpha-pinene, 1,8 cineole and borneol. As a result of the study, it was determined that the amount of essential oil components of rosemary changed significantly according to the seasons and its chemotype was determined as Camphor. Rosmarinic acid was determined using a HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) instrument and the highest amount of Rosmarinic acid was determined as 5 mg/100 g in the post-flowering period.
