Abstract (EN)

Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the sleep quality, fatigue and physical activity status of women during the Embryo Transfer (ET) process and to examine whether there is a difference with fertile women. Method: The sample of this research, which was carried out in a descriptive and relational design, consists of 250 women who applied to the IVF Center and Gynecology Polyclinic between December 2020 and June 2021. Mann Whitney U test, Kruskall Wallis H, Wilcoxon test, Chi-Square and Spearman correlation analysis were used in the analysis of the data obtained using the Personal Information Form, Pittsburg Sleep Quality Scale (PSQS), International Physical Activity Questionnaire (Short Form) (IPAQ), and Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS). Results: The mean PSQI of fertile women (4.75±3.35) and women during ET (3.52 ±2.67). was found to be good. It was found that there was a statistically significant difference in sleep disturbance and daytime dysfunction sub-dimensions of women before bHCG test compared to the beginning of ET treatment (U=-2.61, p=0.0106 and U=-2.02, p=0.0463, respectively). The FSS score of fertile women (2.87 ±2.27) was statistically significantly higher than the FSS score of women at the beginning of ET treatment (2.24 ±1.87) (U= 2.30 p=0.0225), It was determined that the YSS scores (2.55 ±1.83) before the bHCG test increased compared to the beginning of ET treatment (U=-2.72, p=0.0079).Total physical activity duration of fertile women was 4775.66 ±2820.07 min/day, 4957.61±2557.3 min. for women in ET process, and there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups (U=-0.52, p=0.6046). While the total duration of physical activity was 4957.61±2557.3 at the beginning of the ET treatment, it was 2079.05±2295.36 before the bHCG test, the activity duration decreased (p=0.00). At the beginning of the ET treatment, the average number of steps of the women was 6267.50±3567.761 while it was 3365.63±2158.197 before the bHCG test, and the number of steps decreased. (W=4.33,p=0.00). Conclusion: It was determined that the sleep quality of women at the beginning of ET treatment and fertile women was good, there was no difference between the physical activity levels of the two groups, and the fatigue level of fertile women was higher than that of women at the beginning of ET treatment. According to the measurements at the beginning of the ET treatment, it was determined that the sleep disorder, daytime dysfunction and fatigue of the women before the bHCG test increased, the duration of physical activity and the number of steps decreased.
