Özet (EN)
In this study, effects of seedling size on the early field performance of narrow-leaved ash. (NLA) growing on a bottomland clear-cut site were investigated Akyazı, Adapazarı. One-year old seedlings grown in different seedbed densities (40, 60, 80, 100 and 120 seedlings/m2) were obtained from Duzce Forest Nursery. Depending on the seedbed density, mean initial heights of the seedlings were 72, 58, 53, 44, and 38 cm, respectively. A randomized block design with three replication was employed. Each row was an experimental unit and contained 20 seedlings. Survival and growth were evaluated at the end of four growing season. The survival was high (98%) in all treatments. Seedling size had no significant effect on the 4th year-diameter (22 mm) and height (177 cm).Key words: Narrow leaved ash, seedling size, survival, growth
