Özet (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of canola oil andhazelnut oil in male reproductive system and to evaluate effects of serumhormon levels and testis histopathologyThirty male Sprague-Dawley rats were used in tihs study. Adult male ratswere divided into three grups and the experiment have been performed during16 weeks. Animals in Group I were spared control. rats in Group II were fed withHazelnut oil and rats in Group III were fed with canola oil. At the end of the feding period the rats were sacrificied. Testes of all rats were excised with standart method for histopathologic evaluation and blood samples were takenfor serum hormone (FSH, LH, Testosterone) levels determination. There were no significant differences were noticed about behaviour andweight of rats among groups during the experiment. Rats in group III (CanolaOil Group) ; LH and especially testosterone levels were higher than rats inGroup I (Control Group). Similarly, rats in group II (Hazelnut oil group). Theseparameters were a little bit higher than rats in Group I, but it was not significant. Assessment for testis histopathology and immunohistochemical (IHC) testosteron antibody tissue levels used. The criteria of histolocigal evaluationwith light microscope was accepted as Johnsen score which shows spermatogenesis in seminiferous tubules. Johnsen scores and IHC testis tissuetestosterone antibody levels were no statisticaly difference among all groups. These results suggest that; in male rats which fed canola oil and hazelnutoil effectted serum hormone levels. Especially, canola oil more effects thanhazelnut oil on serume LH and Testosterone levels. On the contrary nodifference has been seen at histopathological and immunohistochemical assessment. We believe that; further experiments has been warranted for the investigation on sperm motility and activity to learn these oils effects on the testis tissue more accurately.
