ABSTRACTMScOPTICAL PROPERTIES OF METAL COMPLEX WITH FOSFINHakan GÜNDOĞMUŞDEPARTMENT OF PHYSICSINSTITUTE OF NATURAL AND APPLIED SCIENCESUNIVERSITY OF ÇUKUROVASupervisor: Prof. Dr. Bekir ÖZÇELİKYear: 2006, Pages: 50Jury: Prof. Dr. Bekir ÖZÇELİKProf. Dr. Emirullah MEHMETOVProf. Dr. Yıldırım AYDOĞDUIn this work, optical properties of metal complexes with fosfin wereinvestigated. The forbidden energy gaps, absorbtion coeffients and Urbachenergies of the materials were calculated from the optical measurements. Theoptical band gaps (Eg) of Ni for direct allowed transition and direct forbiddentransition were found as 2.35 eV and 2.26 eV respectively. Similar to this, theoptical band gaps (Eg) of Co for direct allowed transition were found as 3.11versus to (hï§)2eV and 2.9 eV for direct forbidden transition. From then ï12graphs the single ossilator energies (E0) and electronic dispersion energies Edof Ni and Co were found as E0=2.86 eV, Ed=47.8 and E0=2,24 eV andEd=60,3, respectively.Key Words: Fosfin, Optical properties.II
