Abstract (EN)

The synthesis of vinyl imidazole and vinyl phosphoric acid monomers containing phosphorus and nitrogen was carried out by mass polymerization method without using solvents. The reaction conditions and initiator ratios of the monomers were determined with the help of the articles. Synthesized flame retardant material was applied to the fabric by impregnation method. Solutions comprising various quantities of flame retardant polymers were created with the igniting time in the cloth in mind. Experiment optimization was used to determine the highest self-extinguishing efficacy of the flame retardant polymer on the fabric by running different temperature, concentration, and fixator trials. Hot, cold, plasma, shrinkage, and mercerization methods have all been tried for applying the synthetic material to fabric. The mercerization process produced the greatest results at 90 0C. SEM-EDX analysis was used for the characterization of Cotton fabrics treated with the synthesized flame retardant polymer. In the images obtained, it was observed that the fabric fibers did not deformation. This was also confirmed in the LOI test. In this way, the success of the synthesized flame retardant polymer in textile materials has been demonstrated.
