Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to research the effects of training with the French Contrast Method on the anaerobic power and capacities of amateur soccer players, as well as on some performance values. 20 soccer players playing in the Yolspor Club in the Regional Amateur League in the province of Elazig voluntarily participated in the study. Participants were randomly assigned to the subject group (n:10, mean age 21.3±3.1, mean age far sports 7.7±2.9, mean height 177.3±1.6 cm, mean weight 66, 9±1.9 kg ) and control group (n:10 years mean 21.4±3.0), sports age mean. 8±2.7, height mean 176±1.9 cm, weight mean 66, 5±2.8 kg) were divided into two groups. The subject group performed the French Contrast Method training in addition to their own training, 2 days a week in the last three weeks of the preparation period and once a week in the first three weeks of the competition period. The control group continued their regular training and didn't do any work. Before and after the study, height, weight, body mass index, body fat percentage, waist and hip measurement, body posture analysis, leg strength, back strength, vertical jump, standing long jump, anaerobic power test, aerobic capacity test and speed measurements were made. Obtained results were evaluated statistically by using SPSS 22.0 statistical program and interpreted according to p<0.01 and p<0.05 significance level. When the results were examined, a positive significant difference was found in the body mass index and body fat percentage values of both groups (p<0.01). While a positive significant difference was found in the subjects group in the waist strength, leg strength, vertical jump and standing long jump values (p<0.01) no significant difference was found in the control group. In the postural analysis, a positive difference was found in the head and shoulder values in the subject group (p<0.05) no difference was found in the control group. A positive difference was detected in the subject group in the 10m and 20m sprint tests (p<0.01), no difference was detected in the control group. There was no difference in both groups in Yo-yo test and maxVO2 measurements (p<0.05). While a positive significant difference was detected in the experimental group in anaerobic power test values (p<0.01), (p<0.01), no difference was detected in the control group. As a result; It was determined that the trainings made with the French Contrast Method had a positive effect on the anaerobic power, speed and physical performance values of the Amateur Soccer Players, but no positive effect was found on the aerobic capacity and maxVO2 values.
