Abstract (EN)

Since last twenty years, kiln sculpture have became a concept which have been thinking on by ceramic artists. Kiln Sculptures are large scale and outdoor ceramics. These ceramic sculptures are fired in site and also they are their own kiln. The concept of Kiln Sculpture contains not only event of making ceramics sculpture but also their firing process of which sharing with observers. They have some aims that motivate them to make sculpture kilns. For example demanding of making large scale ceramic sculptures and getting rid of the feeling to be solitude in their studio when they are working. For thousand years of traditional ceramic knowlegde as basic technicals of giving shape and firing have guided for researches of making kiln sculpture .The method of the study to understand kiln sculpture from building tecnichs to implications is to pay attention and distinguish to ceramics artists who make kiln sculptures. Frederick Olsen, Nina Hole, Tom Barnett and Jorgen Hansen who make their own kiln sculptures all over the world. They have wide contemporary sense of art besides deep traditional ceramics knowledge and they are specialist on ceramics.Concepts of kiln sculptures have a qualification which requires a collective study and also it attracts attention not only their results but also their process for the purposes of art.
