Abstract (EN)
The history of ambassadors and the embassy institution dates back to early periods. From ancient times to the present, the embassy institution has always been an indispensable means in interstate relations. Throughout history, it's seen that the embassy institution stand out on many areas such as political, social and cultural. The reasons for sending ambassadors, their duties, their qualifications, their legal status and the roles they take in interstate relations vary depending on the situations. İn this study, the meaning, origin, and institutionalization process of ambassadors and the institution of ambassadorship, as well as the characteristics of the institution of ambassadorship in ancient Turks, the relations of the Ghaznavid State with contemporary states, and the economic, social, and legal aspects of the institution of ambassadorship in the state organization of the Ghaznavids will be studied to the to the extent of the information obtained from the sources.
