Gebze Folk Culture monography

"Gebze Folk Culture Monography" explains this book; the birth, circumcision, military service, marriage, pilgrimage and death customs and related beliefs and practices; holidays, celebrations and celebrations, folk beliefs, folk cuisine, folk knowledge are emphasized. The work consists of seven parts. After a certain dissemination of the information in the dictionary, which was determined by written sources and interview method, necessary examinations and corrections were made on it. The concepts of the detected customs and beliefs with the old belief systems of Gebze were tried to be established. At the end of the study, the photographs we obtained during the interview are presented as an attachment. As a result of this attempt, general traces of Anatolian lands and different folkloric elements that they created in themselves were found in Gebze folk lands. It has been determined that the local people of Gebze live by blending the folkloric elements of the "Manav" community, which creates their own culture, with the general culture of Anatolia.
