Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to examine the applications and cultural dimension of Short Shalwar Wrestling. Biographical Narrative Interview method and literatüre screening methods will be applied. General information about the history of short baggy wrestling will be obtained and information about the applications of short shalwar wrestling from past to present will be collected. The construction of short shalwar wrestling in villages, weddings, interest of the public, wrestling, as well as the cultural life patterns reflected in wrestling will be examined. In addition, the reflections of wrestling on human life as a culture will be examined. The cultural aspect of the techniques and rules in wrestling will be related to the cultural perspective of the people in the life of the people, and examples of the reflection on the rules of wrestling will be put forward. It is expected that the athletes who apply short shalwar wrestling, how they have a cultural impact on the viewers, a sense of belonging in terms of social norms and beliefs, and the role of this sport in revealing the human values such as entertainment, cohesion and sharing are not only a sport. These wrestling-specificmotifs; It is aimed toinvestigate and determine the details of music, application style, wrestler clothing, referee outfits, dresses of musicians, examination of cultural motifs, presentation of the audience, presentation of the athletes and all the collaborators.
