Abstract (EN)

The plyometric training method applied in volleyball players and its effect are widely researched. In this study, the effect of 8-week plyometric training and the strength values after training in young female volleyball players were investigated. Young female volleyball players between the ages of 15-18 (n=16) who have been doing this sport for at least two years participated in the study. The development of the athletes before and after 8 weeks of plyometric training and in the following weeks (1.2.3. ve 4. weeks) was evaluated by performing various jumping, jumping and balance tests. As a result of the measurements made after 8 weeks of training, a significant negative decrease was detected in the standing long jump, right-left leg standing long jump, and adapted T-drill test (p<0.05). However, the improvement after training in triple jump and squat jump was not significant (p>0.05). On the other hand, in the multiple jump and star balance test, a significant increase was detected in the improvement after training in the right-left leg (p<0.05). When the values before and after the flamingo balance test were compared, no significant change was observed. When the values formed between the post-training and the weeks after the training were compared, it was observed that the values of all tests started to decrease significantly after the 3rd and 4th week in general. As a result, 8-week plyometric training significantly contributed to the development of multiple jumps and dynamic balance in young female volleyball players, but did not improve the static balance in a positive way; It can be interpreted that while it adds a significant improvement to the other jumping characteristics, it affects the jumping properties negatively and that these values decrease even more in the 3rd and 4th weeks after stopping the training and do not contribute positively to the athletes.
