Investigation of structural systems of wide span structures on the examples in Adana organized industrial zone

The needs of humans and other living creatures have constantly changed and increased since their existence. This situation has led to the formation of new markets and an increase in the production-consumption relationship. However, trade and industrialization have increased in the world. Turkey has an important place in this change due to its geopolitical position. In Turkey, which has many industrial zones, Adana, which provides an advantage with its location, being on a strong transportation network and being close to energy sources, has become one of the important industrial regions and industrial structures have gained even more importance. In this thesis, wide span bar systems used in industrial buildings and especially reinforced concrete, prefabricated and steel building systems were examined. The bar systems used to pass wide openings in industrial buildings are exemplified by following the construction site studies of the projects that are under construction, by carrying out field work in 14 industrial structures and workplaces in Adana Organized Industrial Zone. In line with the data obtained, it has been concluded that the structural systems of industrial buildings in Adana are usually prefabricated and steel roofs.
