In thisstudy, we aimed to categorize the cases with spagetti hand-wrist, to present ourexperiences, to discuss their rehabilitation and to compare functional finding as regards thepatients treated and followed up in our clinic in the light of literature data.Material and Method:A total of 33 patients were included into the study: 1 female and 22 male patients asthe study group; 1 female and 9 male patients as control. The aetiology was mostly asstriking glass (20 patients) in the study group, and as home and business accidents in thecontrol group. Soon after the first examination, most of the patients were taken underoperation within the first four hours. All the structures were repaired by following an orderas T.N.A from deep area to the surface. On day 3, controlled movements were started. İn the 6 th week, atel/ splint wastaken out, and active practices were initiated. Tendons were evaluated in terms ofextension and flection according to lister classification, and the patients were assessedaccording to seddon criteria in the last controls.Findings:Although there were most commonly ulnar arterial ?cuting?, median and ulnarnerves were affected at the same rate. According to lister classification, of 305 tendons, therecovery was excellent in 147, good in 63, moderate in 52 and poor in 43. According tothe evaluation of the results, however we obtained 6 excelent, 8 good, 6 moderate and 3poor outcomes in the study group, and 5 excelent, 4 good and 1 moderate in the controlgroup, in which there was not any poor outcome. Results:The results we obtained in the study group was less satisfactory with respect tothese in controls.
