Abstract (EN)
As today's business world progresses rapidly on the path of digitalization, the competition in offering products and services to customers' requests and needs has increased and innovative solutions are emerging with the business models of newly established companies. In this context, startups gain more importance as entrepreneurs can solve their problems with a faster and more agile approach, especially in digital media. When the foundation of the initiatives is examined, the starting point is to determine a problem or problem that will affect the society, the country or our world and to develop solutions for that problem. Today, companies are no longer managed with methods from the past, newly established companies are managed with problem-solving business models suitable for our technology age. In our age of technology, companies do not achieve success by having too many employees or having large-square offices. Companies that offer high value propositions achieve success, using a strategy suitable for startups with very few personnel and achieving success with business models that produce fast, digital and secure solutions to existing problems and needs. The main finding of the thesis is that entrepreneurs make high profits when they use the right business model. A business model is a plan to make profit from a product or service after using the resources of an enterprise with the right strategies and economically, after calculating the expense items. When the literature is examined, it is seen that developed countries have the highest number of entrepreneurial firms. We see that entrepreneurs develop when we provide the appropriate environment for them and support them. Entrepreneurs' ecosystem is usually included in technopolises and support organizations like technopolis. In this qualitative research, techno-cities, which are an important part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, were examined. 40 of the 290 Start-Ups in İTÜ ARI-3 and ARI-4, which are in the formation of Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) Technopolis, were selected by convenience sampling method. Interviews were made with Start-Ups and the business models they used, why they used them and their profitability were examined. It is seen that seven business models are widely used. It has been determined that the most widely used business model by companies is the Long Tail Business Model, which was developed for designing special products for customers. The business model serves users through tailor-made products, and the rapid and reliable delivery of the product on digital platforms provides benefits to users. According to the results, Start-Ups with less staff can digitize faster if they do not change their business models. E-Marketplace Business Model and Discrete Business Model are seen as widely used business models after Long Queue Business Model. The business models of the examined Start-Ups will set an example for future entrepreneurs as sustainable, innovative and successful companies as a roadmap.
