Giyasuddin Handmir's life, works and historiography

Giyasuddin Handmir is one of the leading historians of the fifteenth and sixteenth century. He approached Islamic sciences from a perspective and worked in many fields. Handmir, who has written valuable works in the field of World History, draws attention with his method and studies. Since the Qur'an and its historical works, which have been written before, have a based approach in World History studies, they present example of a meticulous research with the diversity of sources and their assessment. It is his original aspects that he uses his personal observations as a resource for his studies and strives to reveal the facts in all as-pects for the period he lived by examining historical events. He made important contribu-tions to the World History and influenced many historians with his personality and works.
